David’s industry experience spans manufacturing, food and beverage, technology, SaaS, data centers, healthcare, and telecom. David has held CFO, COO, VP of Finance as well as treasurer and secretary for the Board of Directors for small and mid-market privately owned businesses.
Specialties and Background
Before joining C-Squared, David served as CFO of a heavy manufacturing company, where he partnered with operations leaders to identify and unlock $2 million in cash flow opportunities within a $38 million business. He also led the implementation of a budgeting process and Monthly Business Review (MBR) reporting package that strengthened accountability across the organization. David has found 7 figure savings with the past three companies he has worked with ranging in size from $3M to $38M. David has experience both with thriving high growth companies as well as serving as CFO for two turnarounds (both still in business).
David also has deep fundraising experience, including private equity, venture capital, and equipment financing through commercial banking. In Colorado, he led finance fundraising efforts for transactions ranging from $3 million to more than $100 million. His deal experience spans the full M&A lifecycle, including due diligence, management presentations, term sheet negotiation, closing, and integration.
Education
David has an MBA in Finance from the University of Iowa and has passed levels I and II of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
Interests
David enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, biking, running, hiking, fishing, and camping. He is also a self-professed history nerd.
